comment Obviously insincere posts – how should users/reviewers react?
@Wrzlprmft Coolio, I just couldn't find the FAQ. I know this is an issue specific to Academia, but I see questions about these kinds of things all the time on all the metas and I just never could figure out if there was actually a collection of all this information :)

@Wrzlprmft Is there a section of any particular SE site or SE in general that lists these rules/implications of actions? Or are we all supposed to search through the Metas until we find a Q/A like yours?

comment Canonical Q&A suggestion: “I've been admitted to multiple graduate programs, how to choose between them?”
As a soon-to-be graduate student, I thank everyone in this community for taking the time to answer such questions, as well as rounding up some really important ones to help people like me through the process!

comment How to prevent academic questions from searchengines
@SimonW OP probably means writing search engine disallow rules into the body of the question to prevent them from indexing the content. However, that's not how search engines work, so OP is out of luck even if StackEx. allowed something like that in the first place.

comment Time to Expressly Ban “I want to do X, Here's My Life Story…” questions?
@eykanal I read the FAQ! In addition I'd like to state that this is a problem on many SE sites (especially Programmers.SE) as you stated; that said, this might be better off as a Meta.SE question perhaps? While it doesn't apply to all SE sites at the moment, there will likely be more questions like these in the future on different SE sites.
