I am gearing up to apply for PhD programs and I am trying to find schools and faculty that work in the area that I want to. The areas I want to work in are conservation and invasive species management - this would fall under a PhD in resource/environmental economics.

The question I would probably pose in the main SE would be one in which I am trying to get a lead on what schools might work on these areas.

Would this be appropriate to ask on the main S.E or is this outside of the scope of the forum? I am not really looking for any in particular, just hoping to cast a wide net.

That sounds like a shopping question and would likely not be a good fit. – StrongBad Dec 13 '19 at 0:46
  • Hmm. Okay, thank you. Perhaps we'll see what others say but I kind of had a feeling it would not be a good fit. – GrayLiterature Dec 13 '19 at 1:22
  • Please read What exactly is a shopping question. – scaaahu Dec 14 '19 at 8:54
  • Apparently it's not okay to ask about asking about PhD programs :-) – cag51 Dec 18 '19 at 14:15
